Vanuatu Adventure Race
Multisport Changes
There have been no International competitors entered for the Multisport so the Millennium Cave event is cancelled for this year and the Holiday Inn Multisport is going to be the Port Vila Multisport.
The Hub for the event will now be the Rowing Club.
The Race will begin with the swim.
There will be a 250m triangular course maked by two ANZ buoys in the water and one on the land. Teams can elect to swim half each and tag at the bouy on the land or one team member can elect to swim the whole course.
The Bike section remains the same at 40km and teams must stay with-in 100m of each otherwise recieve a time penalty.
The paddle section is next with a 3km course that takes teams just beyond Poppy's.
Last is the run where the teams take it in turns to run the 3km course that weaves through the local area.
In total the teams will travel 50km

Daniel the only Ni-Vanuatu to complete the 2010 Inaugural VAR is looking for a partner to compete again.
His partner of last year Craig Unthank is a new Dad and isn't coming across this year.

Prologue
One of the things that I really wanted to bring back in this year's race is the interaction of the Ni-Vanuatu as they prepare their evening meals and the competitors as they speed through, both touching each other’s lives briefly but memorably.
One of the really interesting things about Port Vila is that it is surrounded by Shanty Towns set up by Ni-Vanuatu who have come in from other islands to try and find work.
The best way to give the competitors a good look at this will be to do it on Mountain Bikes.
The roads are quiet on Saturday afternoons, the opportune time to do some sightseeing while racing to find those Checkpoints.
So make sure you pack a good set of bike lights and see you soon
